13 horses, 6 ponies found after fire in Mantua

MANTUA (WPVI) -- Crews called for a fire discovered more than a dozen horses and ponies behind a home in Philadelphia's Mantua section.

It happened shortly after 3:00 p.m. in the 3900 block of Ogden Street.

The call came in for the report of a fire behind a home.

Firefighters arrived and found a stable with 13 horses and six ponies inside.

The flames were brought under control in about 10 minutes without injury to the animals.

No word what caused the fire.
