Camden County authorities are investigating the discovery of human remains in the Cooper River in Pennsauken.

PENNSAUKEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- Camden County authorities are investigating the discovery of human remains in the Cooper River in Pennsauken.

The discovery was made around noon Saturday along Gateway Park near the 2900 block of Admiral Wilson Boulevard.

Police say a group cleaning up the river found the bones in the mud in the river.

The medical examiner is working to determine sex, age and cause of death.
