Police are investigating a tractor-trailer left unattended near a U.S. Navy support facility in Northeast Philadelphia.

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a tractor-trailer left unattended near a U.S. Navy support facility in Northeast Philadelphia.

The big rig was reported before 7:30 a.m. Thursday in the 700 block of Tabor Avenue in Philadelphia's Lawncrest section.

Video from Chopper 6 HD showed a tractor-trailer parked on the shoulder of a two-lane divided highway.

Philadelphia police units were on the scene. The back of the truck was open and officers were inspecting the contents.

Police investigated a tractor-trailer left unattended near a U.S. Navy support facility in Northeast Philadelphia.

Traffic was being detoured away from the area.

The tractor-trailer is parked near Naval Support Activity Philadelphia, a U.S. military facility.
