Freebie Friday: Books, Lip Balm, Chinese Lantern Festival and more

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Here are your freebies for the weekend of April 30/May 1!

Children can get a free book from Barnes and Noble, but they have to earn it! All they have to do is fill out the downloadable summer reading triathlon reading journal and bring it into a local store. They then get to pick a free book from the list.

FREE FAMILY FUN

This Sunday is the first Sunday of the month, so the Barnes Foundation is offering free admission. With rain in the forecast, this would be a great way to spend the day. The foundation has a long list of activities scheduled, from an architecture and building class, to performances everyone can enjoy.

FREE LIP BALM

FREE CHINESE LANTERN FESTIVAL

Right now, the absolutely breathtaking Chinese Lantern Festival is happening at Franklin Square in Philadelphia. More than 25 illuminated lanterns are lighting up the seven-and-a-half acre park. Admission is free before 5 pm!
