Philadelphia police officer injured in crash

STRAWBERRY MANSION (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia police officer was injured in a crash in the Strawberry Mansion section of the city.

The three-car crash occurred just after 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at 25th and Diamond streets.

Police say the officer was trying to pull a red vehicle over when it was rear-ended by a minivan.

Chopper 6 over the scene showed medics tending to the injured officer. He was placed on a stretcher.

The officer was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital.

There is no word on any other injuries.
