Creating schoolyard garden habitats
More than a hundred students stepped outside the classroom to get their hands dirty Wednesday

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- More than a hundred students stepped outside the classroom to get their hands dirty Wednesday.

The third graders planted gardens at Cole Manor Elementary in Norristown.

They'll be responsible for caring for the plants for years to come.

This is part of a new program to create schoolyard habitats, in partnership with PECO and the John James Audubon Center.
