UPPER CHICHESTER, Pa. (WPVI) -- A crash involving a tractor-trailer caused traffic delays on Interstate 95 in Delaware County.

The accident occurred Sunday evening in the southbound lanes near the Market Street exit in Upper Chichester, Pennsylvania.

State Police tell Action News the driver of the truck somehow lost control, crashing into the grassy median.

A safety wire barrier along that section of I-95 is meant to stop traffic from going too far off the road, and into oncoming traffic, police say.

The left and center southbound lanes were temporarily shut down while tow crews worked to free the truck from that wire barrier, and clear the scene.

All lanes have since been reopened.

The driver of the truck was not injured.
