Person struck in hit-and-run in University City

UNIVERSITY CITY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a hit-and-run incident in University City.

It happened just before 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at 33rd Street and Powelton Avenue.

Police say a man riding a bike was struck by a red minivan.

The driver took off from the scene.

The 27-year-old man did not require hospitalization.
