A shave and a haircut... and a good book

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Children in North Philadelphia have a new place to learn.

The city's first reading nook opened Thursday inside a neighborhood barber shop.

Children gathered at the Creative Image on the 27 hundred block of Cecil B Moore Avenue.

At least three other barber shops will also participate in the program, which is a partnership between the Free Library of Philadelphia and PNC Bank.
