Combating disease one fireman's boot at a time

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia firefighters are ready to fill the boot.

They kicked off their annual campaign Thursday in South Philadelphia.

Starting Friday more than two thousand firefighters will fan out across the city, asking drivers for donations.

The money goes to help kids and adults battling Muscular Distrophy, ALS and other muscle debilitating diseases.
