Local auto dealer awards $137,000 in scholarships

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Hundreds of students just got help paying for their college education.

The Pacifo Foundation handed out scholarships Friday in Southwest Philadelphia.

The recipients were selected because of their academic performance, financial need, and career ambition.

Superintendent William Hite was on hand for the gift, 137 thousand dollars in scholarships, courtesy of the auto giant.
