Six people were hurt after a U-Haul rental truck hit a railroad overpass in Newark, Delaware.

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- A crash involving a U-Haul rental truck has injured several people in Newark, Delaware.

The crash happened around noon Saturday on Casho Mill Road near Munro Road.

Police and medics arrived to find six people hurt and a U-Haul rental truck badly damaged after the truck hit a railroad overpass.

Four of the victims were in the back of the U-Haul.

One of the victims, a 24-year-old woman, was ejected from the upper part of the truck.

She was flown to a nearby hospital in very serious condition.

Police and medics arrived to find a truck badly damaged, and six people hurt, after crashing into a railroad bridge.

A 14-year-old boy was in the back of the truck. He suffered lower body injuries. He is in stable condition.

Another victim, an 18-year-old man suffered lower body injuries. He is also stable.

A second 18-year-old man is in stable condition, after suffering a head injury.

The driver, a 42-year-old woman, and a 65-year-old male passenger, are stable.

All were taken to the hospital for treatment.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
