CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Firefighters battled a small electrical fire at Philadelphia Police headquarters.

Flames broke out after 4:30 a.m. Monday at the building in the 700 block of Race Street in Center City.

Fire officials say the fire started in an electrical ballast and caused a light fixture to start smoking in the 2nd floor radio room.

The fire was quickly placed under control, and police operations were not affected.

No one was hurt.
