Bobsledder Steve Mesler visits 5th graders

CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- An Olympic gold medalist helped motivate and inspire students in Camden Monday.

Steve Mesler met fifth grade students at Veteran's Memorial Family School.

Mesler is a gold medal winning bobsledder.

He also created the Classroom Champions program, it connects athlete mentors with high-need schools.

Mesler announced he is expanding the program to more schools and will partner with college athletes from the University of Pennsylvania.
