Hundreds of classmates, faculty and families gathered Wednesday night for three Bridgeton High students who recently died in car accidents.

BRIDGETON, N.J. (WPVI) -- Hundreds of classmates, faculty and families gathered Wednesday night to remember two Bridgeton High students killed in a car crash, just hours after prom.

One of them was Jamere Mosley's niece, McKayla, who New Jersey State Police say died when she and Daisia Sutton ran off the road and hit a tree following a post-prom trip to Ocean City.

"I wish they were coming here to celebrate her birthday or anything else," said Mosley, uncle. "It could have been anything else, but this."

Investigators don't believe drugs or alcohol played a role in their deaths.

"Daisia was actually my cousin. (What was the last thing you said to her?) I told her she looked nice for her prom," said Daisy Mack, cousin.

The weekend crash only compounded by a loss weeks earlier.

"Friday was two weeks ago when Luz had the car accident, and then Saturday morning was when the other two girls had the accident, so it's been unbelievable," said Rayquana Cannon, friend. "Monday was so somber and quiet. It was hard to even realize it. It was surreal."

One student in attendance held a balloon that read, "It's so hard to forget someone who gave you so much to remember."

The event was just the first of final goodbyes for the community.

Funerals for Daisia and McKayla are set for the May 21 and 25, respectively.
