Homeowner charged with murder after burglary in Wissinoming

WISSINOMING (WPVI) -- A Philadelphia homeowner who shot a suspected burglar is now charged with murder.

Authorities say 29-year-old Roberto Martinez spotted 28-year-old Darryl Gordon and another man in the back of his home along the 6000 block of Ditman Street in Wissinoming.

Martinez allegedly grabbed a gun and shot Gordon several times as Gordon tried to run away.

The other burglar did get away.

Detectives reportedly found multiple bags of marijuana and a large amount of cash inside Martinez's home.
