Police are looking for the person responsible for robbing a CVS store in Southwest Philadelphia.

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are looking for the person responsible for robbing a CVS store in Southwest Philadelphia.

The incident happened around 8:12 p.m. on May 15 at the store located in the 4300 block of Locust Street.

An employee confronted the suspect at the door of the store, who he observed placing merchandise inside a black drawstring bag.

As the employee attempted to stop the suspect, and retrieve the items, the suspect allegedly pulled a handgun.

The employee backed off, and the suspect fled the store.

The suspects was last seen heading south on 44th Street from Locust Street.

There were no injuries reported.

The suspect is described as a black male, 30-40 years-of-age, 5'7"-6'0." He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, gray button-down shirt, black knit hat, carrying a black drawstring bag, and armed with a handgun.
