Person struck, killed by SEPTA train in Fern Rock

FERN ROCK (WPVI) -- Police are investigating after a person was struck and killed by a SEPTA train in the Fern Rock section.

It happened just after 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Regional Rail station.

Rail service was suspended until early afternoon, but has since resumed.

There was no immediate word on the identity of the victim or why the person was on the tracks.
