War veterans return from "Tour of Honor"

SPRINGFIELD, Pa. (WPVI) -- In Delaware County, it was a welcome home fit for heroes.

Dozens of people packed St. Kevin's Church in Springfield.

They were welcoming back World War II and Korean War veterans from their "Tour of Honor" in Washington D.C.

3-Star Army Lieutenant General David D. Halverson and Honor Flight Founder Earl Morse honor veterans on May 21, 2016, the 11th anniversary of the very first Honor Flight.

The trip sponsored by non-profit Honor Flight and Axalta Coating Systems brings vets to Washington to visit the memorials of the wars in which they fought.
