Honoring the ultimate sacrifice

MONROE TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Volunteers in South Jersey began their Memorial Day Weekend with a show of patriotism Friday.

They placed American flags at grave sites in Monroe Township.

This is an annual ceremony in honor of Memorial Day at the Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Freeholders and anyone else who wanted to join place the markers at the headstones of men and women who served in the armed forces.
