Man hospitalized after robbery, stabbing in Tioga-Nicetown

TIOGA-NICETOWN (WPVI) -- A man is hospitalized after a robbery turned violent in the Tioga-Nicetown section of Philadelphia.

It happened around 7:20 p.m. Friday along the 1300 block of West Venango Street.

Police say a 57-year-old man was stabbed once in the right side of his chest.

He was rushed to Temple University Hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

A weapon was recovered at the scene, police say.

So far, no arrests have been made.
