CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A year has passed since a man was gunned down while on his way home from work.

Now a detective investigating his case is urging anyone to come forward if you have information.

"We believe he was in the city, possibly just hanging out with friends or something like that," said Detective Sheron Kee, Camden Co. Prosecutor's Office.

In May 2015, Mark Stone had just gotten out of work, and was in the area of Dauphin and Ramona Gonzalez streets in Camden just before 9 p.m.

"Camden County Metro responded to shots fired," said Kee. "As they responded to shots fired, they pulled up and seen a male lying in the street."

Stone, 32, died a short time later at the hospital.

"We have some cameras in the surrounding area, you know, trying to piece things together, but nothing directly on the actual street," said Kee.

The Citizens Crime Commission is offering a $1,000 reward for anyone with information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

Anonymous tips can be submitted by calling 215-546-TIPS.

"It's a lot of senseless violence going on, but I stress, I stress over and over we have to start telling and talking about these things because that's the only way it's going to get better," said Kee.
