Young man shot 5 times in Tioga-Nicetown

TIOGA-NICETOWN (WPVI) -- A 19-year-old man was shot five times as he was running from gunfire in the Tioga-Nicetown section of Philadelphia.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. Thursday on the 1900 block of Brunner Street.

Police say the gunman shot the victim in the legs.

The victim was taken by a private car to Einstein Hospital. He is stable condition.

Investigators are checking the area surveillance cameras.
