A little girl's prayer with officers goes viral

CEDAR HILL, Tex. -- It was a heartwarming gesture that left a lasting impression for two marshals in Cedar Hill, Texas.

Marshals Herron and Wallace were about to eat lunch when 5-year-old Chloe came by their table with one simple request: she wanted to pray with them before they ate.

Cedar Hill PD says the two officers, one of whom has been on the force for 35 years, have never had anyone pray with them and that "her prayer was so beautiful."

So far the Facebook post by the police department has been shared over 6,000 times.

In a comment to the Facebook post, Chloe's father thanked everyone commenting across the country.

"We can't thank you enough for all the wonderful comments about our daughter. The real thanks goes to the officers, who took the time out of their busy day to bless our daughters, Chloe and Clarke. The appreciation goes both ways, and we thank you and your fellow officers for your service, because it extends beyond protection, and for two little girls it's connecting with real life heroes."
