A crash on the westbound Pennsylvania Turnpike slowed traffic in Bucks County Wednesday morning.

SOUTHAMPTON, Pa. (WPVI) -- At least one person has been taken to an area hospital after a crash on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Southampton, Bucks County.

The crash happened after 6 a.m. Wednesday in the westbound lanes, 4 miles west of the Route 1 interchange.

Video from Chopper 6 HD showed two vehicles in the right shoulder.

An ambulance and tow truck were on the scene. Medics appeared to be performing CPR on a person.

After at least 15 minutes they transferred that person to the waiting ambulance.

There was no immediate word what led to the crash.

Traffic was backed up for several miles approaching the scene.
