Mom stops alleged kidnapper from taking her daughter

CITRUS COUNTY, FLA. (WPVI) -- Police in Florida say a surveillance video shows a man trying to abduct a 13-year-old girl, who was shopping with her mother.

It happened just before noon Tuesday at a Dollar General in Citrus County.

The man stopped his cart, walked over and grabbed the girl.

Her mother desperately fought off the man.

An off-duty officer saw the man run from the store, and chased him down and arrested him.

Police say the would-be kidnapper, 30-year-old Craig Bonello, has been arrested multiple times.
