CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- The massive truck pulled into Headhouse Square in Center City Philadelphia Friday afternoon.

Strategically stacked inside is an entire mobile pub. And overnight, a crew will transform the empty square into a street pub with good brews for a good cause.

Deschutes Brewery is based out of Bend, Oregon and every summer they bring the pub to the people!

"It's the world's biggest pop-up pub. So it's over 400 feet of bar and there's over 50 taps," said Joey Pleich, Deschutes' Field Marketing Manager.

And all of it pops out of their massive truck.

"One stop shop. Believe it or not, the world's biggest game of Tetris lives in here!" joked Pleich.

That mobile party - or street pub as they call it - will set up shop in Headhouse Square, stretching across 2nd Street from South to Lombard Streets.

This is their second year with Philadelphia as one of the stops.

Local bands will take the stage, local restaurants will serve up food. And local charities benefit from the day-long pub party.

"Beers are $5 and every dollar that comes in goes to charity, so we are supporting the Vetri Community Partnership and the South Street Headhouse District," said Pleich.

"Last year we raised around $40,000 dollars and we are hoping to hit $60,000 this year, so bring your friends," he added.

That's right - every penny from every beer poured funnels right back to the community and for the South Street Headhouse District, that money is coming in handy.

"We are having a lot of improvements to the area and this plaza soon where this event is happening so the money really helps," said Executive Director Michael Harris.

The event runs from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday June 11 and there's also free fun and entertainment for all ages - even the kids!
