A young boy in California, up against his own struggles, organized a toy drive when he realizes his hospital needs more toys.

10-year-old Kadin Hoven is being treated for kidney disease and he's still in need of a donor for his third kidney transplant.

Two weeks ago he was at Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA and noticed all of the toy cabinets were nearly empty.

So, he started a toy drive at his school and the school where his mom is a teacher.

Kadin says, "I think when kids see all this in the cabinet, they're going to think, 'my mind is blown.'"

He's raised hundreds of dollars in cash donations and got more than 250 toys.

They're dropping it all off next week and hope to make it an annual event.
