"You Be the Chemist" challenge

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- They may be young, but they are smart and they know their chemistry.

The national "You Be the Chemist" challenge was held at the Kimmel Center Monday.

It's a quiz-bowl that engages the 5th through 8th graders in chemistry concepts and their real-world applications.

Prizes for the winners include scholarships worth more than 18 thousand dollars.
