When a new mom in Philadelphia couldn't find what she was looking for in baby stores, she took matters into her own hands and made it herself.

And not only is she handcrafting her own line in the City of Brotherly Love, she's offering 6abc viewers an exclusive discount!

To call Tina Spence a "working mom" is kind of an understatement. Her day starts in the corporate world, but after hours she can be found hard at work in her Germantown studio.

"I literally work from 9 to 5 and I'm here at night - so doing 2 full time jobs and then being a mom," she said.

At night, she's heading up Buddha Babe - her homegrown, handmade line of comfy, cool kids clothes inspired by her little guy, Baron

"When my son was 6 months old, he was a heavy drooler and I was anti-bib completely because they never matched his outfit and they didn't work. He was getting rashes on the back of his neck," she said.

So she set out to make them herself. But there was just one little problem.

"I had no sewing knowledge whatsoever. I literally Googled it. I drug grandma to the fabric store in the middle of the day and bought a sewing machine and scrap fabrics and YouTubed my way into this," she said.

She built up her business - one bib at a time.

And as baron has gotten bigger, so has her line - which now also included peasant dresses with matching bloomers, leggings, blankets and more.

"We just started doing crib sheets. I can't even believe that I taught myself how to make these things but it's working!" said Tina.

And it's all made with her signature bamboo fleece

"Which has amazing microbial properties so its super soft but also prevents against rashes," said Tina.

The products are mom-made - and mom approved!

"And that's just an empowering thing to know that you are making something by moms, for moms and it's for the sake of making your life easier as a mom," she said.

And Tina is offering an exclusive discount for 6abc viewers.

You can get 15% off anything in her online shop, using the code 6ABC.
