NEW YORK (WPVI) -- In the least, the Philadelphia 76ers will likely draft Ben Simmons first overall.

At most, they wheel-and-deal and acquire even more picks.

Either way, Thursday night's NBA Draft will end up being a great night for the 76ers.

Despite reports, Simmons says the 76ers have not told him whether or not they will pick him number one overall.

Whether you believe him or not, that's a different story.

Even Simmons says he'd be surprised if the Philadelphia did not take him and he wasn't a 76ers after the draft.

The LSU forward worked out for team on Tuesday. It was the only NBA team he has done that for. After putting on a 76ers jersey, the 19-year-old can envision a bright future in Philly, playing with Jahlil Okafor, Nerlens Noel, and his friend, Joel Embiid.

"I had a good feeling when I was working out there. Good vibes. I'm looking forward to it," Simmons said. "It felt good, finally to have an actual jersey on. Last time I played was three months ago, so to have it on just felt good."

Though Simmons wouldn't fully commit when asked if it felt like home when playing for the 76ers, he did repeat, "It felt pretty good."

Duke's Brandom Ingram, meanwhile, is expected to go to the Los Angeles Lakers at number two.

The 76ers also had Ingram in for a workout.

Though he is a pure, better shooter than Simmons, Ingram says he will not feel slighted if he goes second overall.

"I always had a dream to make it to the NBA. I didn't know it would come this fast. I never even knew I would be considered as a number one or number two top pick. But just to get drafted, I'm just happy about that. Being a number one or two pick, it doesn't matter to me, as long as I work hard and be the best that I can be," Ingram said.

Are the 76ers making a mistake if they take Simmons over Ingram?

Ingram had this response: "It's all about preference."

The 76ers currently have three first round picks at 1, 24, and 26.

The 2016 NBA Draft starts at 7 p.m. from New York City.
