Honoring the ultimate sacrifice

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A memorial service took place Friday night in North Philadelphia, to honor the department's fallen officers.

The event took place at the Beloved St. John Evangelistic Church.

Police commissioner Richard Ross was on hand to pay his respects.

Families of the fallen officers were also invited to attend.
