The shooting happened around 12:40 a.m. Saturday in the 1900 block of Rowan Street.

Police say an 18-year-old man and his friend were walking from Germantown Avenue onto Rowan, when they heard gunshots.

The teen noticed he was struck twice in the upper torso and back area, police say. He ran until he collapsed on some steps.

He was rushed to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.

A second victim, also an 18-year-old man, was standing outside talking to a friend, police say, when he noticed a graze wound to his finger.

He was taken to Einstein Medical Center, where he was treated and then released.
