In Ventnor, New Jersey, you can fire up the grill right on the beach during the holiday weekend.
No need for a permit. Just grab your ribs, hot dogs and burgers, and head to the beach Saturday, Sunday and Monday only.
Remember - no open pits allowed, only grills.
Beach badges are required.

Join the party during the annual Independence Day Bike Parade in Ocean City.
It will be the 51st year the South Ocean City Improvement Association has put on a family-friendly event.
Don your perfect Patriotic costume, decorate your bike, wagon or float and join the fun.
The parade starts Monday at 10 a.m. It starts at 40th Street and Asbury, and ends at the 52nd Street playground.
The event is free and prizes will be awarded.
Watch the fireworks, be safe and happy 4th of July!

Cape May: July 4th on Congress Beach at 9 p.m.
Sea Isle City: July 4th at 9 p.m. at the 50-th Street Beach.
Stone Harbor: July 4th at 8 p.m. at the 80-th street beach.
Ocean City: July 4th kite-flying competition at 7 p.m. followed by entertainment and fireworks along the boardwalk.
Wildwood: July 4th - Tim McGraw concert at 8 p.m. followed by FREE fireworks at 10 from Pine Beach Avenue.
