Homicide victim found shot 4 times in Port Richmond

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- Police are investigating an early morning homicide in the Port Richmond section of Philadelphia.

Officers were called to the intersection of Jasper and East Thayer streets around 5 a.m. Sunday.

There they found a man with four gunshot wounds to the upper chest, lying between parked cars outside a factory.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

There was no immediate word on the circumstances of the shooting.

The victim's name has not been released.
