Woman shot, killed in Atlantic City
ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- Authorities are investigating after a woman was shot and killed in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
It happened at 11:20 p.m. Sunday on the 400 block of North Virginia Avenue.
Officers and medics arrived to find a 37-year-old woman shot and wounded in the courtyard area of some townhomes.
She was rushed to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead at 11:58 p.m.
The victim's identity has not been released at this time.
The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office Major Crimes Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department are investigating.
