Cecily Tynan's owl friend is on the road to the recovery.

You may remember Meteorologist Cecily Tynan rescuing an injured baby owl during a run this spring.

On Wednesday, Cecily paid a special visit to the Schuylkill Wildlife Rehabilitation Center to check up on Ridley the owl, who we now know is a female.

The little bird of prey is flying on her own now and learning how to hunt.

She's expected to be released back into the wild in the next two to three weeks.
