JUNIATA (WPVI) -- A gunman on a bicycle shot two people in Philadelphia's Juniata neighborhood. Police say one of the victims was an innocent teenage bystander.
The shooting happened before 11 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of O and Lycoming streets.
Police arrived to find a 16-year-old girl with a gunshot wound to the leg.
She was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children for treatment. She is listed in stable condition.
Police say she was an innocent bystander.
While police were processing the crime scene, they were notified by Aria Health/Frankford that a man shot twice in the chest and leg was brought to the emergency room.
That victim, a 23-year-old man, was transferred to Aria Health/Torresdale and taken into surgery.
He is listed in critical condition.
Police believe the young man was the intended target.
Witnesses told police the gunman was a male wearing a white t-shirt who was riding on a bicycle.
Police are questioning those witnesses and reviewing surveillance video in the area.
The incident remains under investigation.
