Police ID woman found dead inside home in New Castle County

DELAWARE CITY, Del. (WPVI) -- Police have identified a woman found dead inside her home as 31-year-old Heather L. Stamper.

Delaware City police were called to the 200 block of Adams Street just before 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Upon arrival, officers found Stamper unconscious inside the bedroom of her home.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Following an autopsy, Stamper's death was ruled a homicide by blunt force trauma.
