Pedestrian struck and killed in Prices Corner, Delaware

PRICES CORNER, Del. (WPVI) -- Delaware State Police are investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian in Prices Corner.

It happened at 11:44 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Kirkwood Highway and Limestone Road

Video from Chopper 6 HD showed a silver SUV with significant windshield damage.

Police arrived to find a male victim who had been struck.

He was taken to Christiana Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the striking vehicle did remain at the scene.

The eastbound lanes of Kirkwood Highway at Limestone Road were shut down as police investigated.
