Huntingdon Valley man faces child porn charges
HUNTINGDON VALLEY, Pa. (WPVI) -- Authorities have charged a Montgomery County man with distributing and possessing child pornography.
26-year-old James Mugford III of Huntingdon Valley is accused of having 2,019 images of child pornography on his computer.
On January 5, Abington Township police conducted an undercover, electronic investigation where they connected to a computer that was configured to anonymously share files with others.
Once police connected to the computer, officials say they received 175 files of child pornography.
Police seized the computer after tracing it to Mugford's home.
Mugford was arraigned and released on $20,000 bail.
He waived his preliminary hearing on reduced counts of 25 counts of distribution and 50 counts of possession.
