Woman struck by motorcycle in Northeast Philadelphia

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- An investigation is underway after an accident involving a pedestrian and a motorcycle in Northeast Philadelphia.

The accident happened around 2 a.m. Friday in the northbound outer lanes of the Roosevelt Boulevard at Devereaux Avenue.

The woman was walking when she was struck by the motorcycle. The bike then flipped over onto the sidewalk.

Police say the collision was so hard, the biker's helmet flew off.

Both victims were seriously injured.

The motorcycle also struck another vehicle. But no other injuries were reported.
