Body found along pier near Delaware River in Queen Village

QUEEN VILLAGE (WPVI) -- Police are investigating after a body was recovered near a pier in Philadelphia's Queen Village section.

It happened before 11 a.m. Friday near Washington and Delaware avenues.

Police say the body was first spotted in the Delaware River near the Sugarhouse Casino in Fishtown.

No word on whether the victim is a man or woman.
