Woman rescued from Delaware River at Penn's Landing

A woman fell into the Delaware River, and was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital Saturday morning.

PENN'S LANDING (WPVI) -- A woman fell into the Delaware River, and was rushed to Hahnemann University Hospital Saturday morning.

It happened around 11 a.m. near the Blue Cross Blue Shields RiverRink at Penn's Landing in Center City, Philadelphia.

Witnesses told police, the woman was sitting on the ledge of the river, while using her cell phone, when she fell into the water.

A police boat crew managed to pull her out of the water. They had to perform CPR on the victim.

She is listed in critical condition at Hahnemann University Hospital.
