Suspects attack, rob 67-year-old man in Fern Rock

A 67-year-old man was beaten and robbed in broad daylight by two suspects on the 5900 Hutchinson Street in Fern Rock.

FERN ROCK -- Philadelphia police are searching for two suspects who attacked and robbed a 67-year-old man in broad daylight in the Fern Rock section of the city.

Police say the victim, a 67-year-old man, was walking north on the 5900 block of Hutchinson Street around noon Friday when the two suspects ran towards him.

As the pair chased him, one suspect demanded the man's wallet and cell phone.

The man tried to run away, but the thieves caught up to him and began punching him in the face.

They knocked him to the ground and continued punching and kicking him in the head.

The pair then grabbed the man's belongings and ran away.

The victim was transported to Albert Einstein Medical Center and treated for his injuries.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 20-years-old, 5'11" tall with a thin build, medium brown complexion and short hair. He was wearing a white t-shirt and black pants.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 20-years-old, 5'11" tall with a thin build, medium brown complexion and short hair. He was wearing a dark colored t-shirt and dark colored pants.
