Teen hospitalized after armed robbery, shooting in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 16-year-old boy is hospitalized after an armed robbery and shooting in North Philadelphia.

It happened around 9:35 p.m. Wednesday along Cecil B. Moore Avenue at Woodstock Street.

Police tell Action News the victim had just left his girlfriend's house when two suspects tried to rob him, then shot him twice.

He was rushed to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children. His condition is unknown at this time.

No weapon was recovered from the scene, police say.

The suspects fled, and remain at large.
