Young man shot and killed in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 21-year-old man is dead after someone shot him at point-blank range in West Philadelphia.

The shooting occurred around 11:15 p.m. Thursday on the 5700 block of Locust Street.

Police say the victim was shot once in the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are questioning witnesses and checking for any area surveillance cameras.
