The stormy weather didn't stop an invite-only concert Thursday for delegates at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden.

It's called Camden Rising, and it's intended to show off the development happening in the city.

"It gives us a sense of pride, and it's great to see the city come back," said Anthony Martinez of Camden.

The concert hosted by Congressman Donald Norcross featured two huge names in music.

Lenny Kravtiz was the first to take the stage with Lady Gaga closing the show.

The goal, in Congressman Norcross' words, is to show the world, during the biggest night of the DNC, the progress Camden has made.

"The education system is now improving dramatically. Public safety, President Obama came here to show us it was a model on how to deal with urban issues," said Norcross.

There's also been many achievements in development those living here are so proud of, from Campbell's Field to the new Philadelphia 76ers training facility to a $1 billion riverfront project for a hotel and apartments.

"I'm proud to be a product of Camden. I live in Camden, and I also live in the city," said Wanda Garcia of Camden. "And it's a great city, and Camden is moving forward."

Whether they were there for Lenny or Gaga, some tell us the concert is a nice way to take a step back and relish in the moment.

"We like 'em all. I like 'em all," said Martinez.
