"Better Block 2016" block party

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A street in Wilmington, Delaware got a temporary transformation Monday with the goal of bringing the community together.

As part of the Better Block event, one lane of Union Street has been filled with outdoor seating, games and public art.

The street will stay this way for the next two days.

City leaders say they hope it will revitalize economic activity in the area, and strengthen the community.
