NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police have identified two men being sought in connection with a shooting that left a 10-year-old girl injured in North Philadelphia.

Arrest warrants have been issued for 23-year-old Richard Holmes and 29-year-old Stephen Kearney.

The incident happened on July 28 on the 3100 block of North Rosewood Street.

Police say the girl was shot once in the arm after walking between Holmes and Kearney, who were engaged in an argument that turned violent when one of the suspects fired shots at the other.

After being struck, the young girl screamed to her grandmother, who called police.

The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital by police, and then transferred to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children where she was treated and released.

Police said a third male was observed firing a gun from a second-floor window of a residence on the block. Both shooters were apparently firing at the unarmed man involved in the argument.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Richard Holmes and Stephen Kearney is asked to please contact Northwest Detective Division at 215-686-3353.
